The purpose of this blog-site is to keep fans and exhibition managers up-to-date with the on-going development of my model railway layouts - be they pre-existing but undergoing a refurbishment or completely new in construction.
I currently own two 00 gauge model railway layouts - Stepney Down and Thomas-On-Sea - the details of which can be found on their respective pages. Based in Rainham, Essex, I am quite happy to travel reasonable distances to attend shows, but can only attend with one layout at a time.
All my layouts are designed with the sole purpose of having fun; whilst I enjoy viewing layouts set around a particular era or area, I enjoy seeing those that take things a little 'less-seriously' and aren't afraid to mess about, keeping things fresh at shows. I feel that this light-hearted approach also shows to the younger attendees that model railways aren't all about showing off one's skills (or the lack thereof...)
